![]() I would figure a mega factory would get you at least 30 to 50 years before building a new mega factory is cheaper. The goal is to have you improving your factories with Reconditioning and Upgrades until you reach the point of equilibrium where building new is cheaper. However since the amount and time grow exponentially, eventually it will be cheaper and faster to build a new factory. Pretty sure that the Upgrade option doesn't change the tooling but simply adds more lines, is there an upper limit to how many upgrades can be added or are they just a factor of money and time spent? There is no limit to the amount of upgrades you can do. At some point it will be better just to rebuild the factory. My question is if I design a factory with best possible technology can I keep it state of the art with regular Recondition actions over the years or will I have to at some point do a Factory Redesign if I want to maintain it's state of the art status?Reconditioning will boost production per line, but not as much as the tech slider being at that position in a brand new factory. Is that correct and what would be the fastest way for me to move that along? If possible would be interested in pushing development in Southeast Asia and South America from start so I could be in a very strong position with less shipping distance when those regions start becoming economically viable with their immense population bases. Trying to decide if it will be better for me to build a state of the art Mega factory with maxed out production capacity from start or if I can get top technology with lower number of lines to get the factory in operation sooner and then just use upgrades to add more lines as desired.įinally thought I read someplace that the players and/or AIs actions as far as building factories and producing vehicles could help push the development of a cities Economy, Infrastructure and Labor Skills up faster.
